Helge Vestergaard-Jensen Pair of Red Leather Lounge Chairs
Set of two armchairs, in red leather and wood by Helge Vestergaard-Jensen for Peder Pedersen, Denmark, 1960.
Pair of terracotta-red leather armchairs that stand high on their wooden legs, these chairs have a stately appearance. The seating is simplistic with folded armrests. The design is build up on a trapezium, which is regularly repeated. Upholstered in red leather in a 'channeled' technique, which creates a modest yet strong expression. The red leather is in great condition and shows an admirable patina, which highlights the lines and surfaces of the leather. One of two chairs has a darker spot on the seating. Feel free to ask for more information and the possibilities on restoration in our in-house workshop.
