Hartmut Lohmeyer for Wilkhahn, pair of lounge chairs, teak, cane, fabric, Germany, design 1962
This low reclining lounge chair, designed by Hartmut Lohmeyer, embodies a seamless blend of organic form and thoughtful craftsmanship. Its wide, open teak frame is gracefully sculpted, creating an inviting silhouette that feels both grounded and airy. The gently inclined backrest, handwoven in natural cane, offers visual lightness while enhancing ergonomic comfort. Softly curved armrests flow into the structure with an ease that underscores its serene character. A plush green cushion complements the warm tones of the teak, adding a subtle touch of color and tactile softness.
