Hans J. Wegner 'GE-236/3' Three Seat Sofa

$3,850.00

Hans J. Wegner, three-seat sofa model GE-236/3, fabric and oak, Denmark, 1950s

Beautiful sofa by Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. This sofa has a solid oak frame with the construction of the frame visible at the back of the sofa. Due to the high legs and the low but detailed back, this sofa has a very open look and the length is extra emphasized due to that fact.

Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) is known as the Danish master of chair design. He designed over 500 chairs during his career, all in their essence made of wood. Wegner's design philosophy featured functionality in combination with expressive and exciting design. His furniture was always created with great understanding of the material, construction techniques and use.
