Guillerme & Chambron Buffet in Oak with Ceramic Tiles

This characteristic cabinet in solid oak is designed by the French designer duo Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme. It features two sliding front doors, one pullout doors on the left side and four drawers that provide excellent storage facilities. The sliding doors are finished with a geometric carved pattern. The legs are very sculptural which is another trademark of the design duo. The top of the sideboard is inlayed with blue colored tiles. This area functions perfect as a working space in a kitchen or such. Highly versatile high board with plenty of storage space.
The French designer duo Jacques Chambron (1914-2001) and Robert Guillerme (1913-1990) started their production in the postwar period. Many of the furniture designed by this duo this shows a strong character and has great expressive woodwork. The duo installed themselves in an old factory were the machinery was used to make rifles. Guillerme & Chambron saw the potential of these machinery and decided to continue production as it was installed and used them for the design of their high back chairs. The line of different furniture pieces was made in small editions. They call their collection “Votre Maison” which means “Your home”.
