Guglielmo Veronesi Curved Sofa in Baroque Upholstery
Sofa by Guglielmo Veronesi for I.S.A Bergamo, brass, fabric, Italy, 1952.
This wingback sofa is an iconic example of Italian design from the fifties. Curveous, organic and sculptural, this two-seat sofa is anything but minimalistic. The small, slim brass legs features is slightly tapered and are striking with the voluptuous seat. The large armrests are wing shaped, slightly point up and flow naturally into the back. This sofa is upholstered in a baroque patterned fabric and is still in good condition.
