Giuseppe Rivadossi, library unit, oak, glass, Italy, 1970s.

An exceptional library unit by the Italian sculptor and designer Giuseppe Rivadossi, featuring a high level of craftsmanship in woodwork. This library has four parts, with three different type of units. The left unit has closed doors, the two middle ones have shelving and the right one has shelving and glass doors. All of them have a drawer and closed cabinets on the lower part. The four pieces combined create a wonderful wall unit which offers plenty of space to display books and other personal belongings.

Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
