Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig, pair or lounge chairs, beech, natural cord, Italy, 1940
Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig (1896-1945) designed this bentwood armchair initially in 1940 for ‘l’Università Bocconi di Milano’. Characteristic are the two geometric forms on the side that function as legs and armrests. A connective slat on the bottom connects both frames. The seat and backrest are made of woven cord that combines wonderfully with the beech plywood frames.
