Giovanni Offredi for Saporit 'Wave' Sofa in Beige Leather

Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti, sofa, beige leather, steel, Italy, 1970s.

This iconic 'wave' sofa was designed by Giovanni Offredi in the 1970s. The design for this sofa is dynamic, sculptural and figurative. The sofa is archetypical for Italian design of the 1970s where shapes and forms are bold and sometimes even ostentatious. However, this is not the case with these comfortable sofa. Although it's playful, it is extremely comfortable and functional.
