Tapio Wirkkala for Asko, set of dining chairs, black lacquered plywood and metal, Finland, 1950s
Beautiful set of 'Nikke' chairs design by the Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala. This model is a wonderful example of an early minimalist design. The chair consists of a black lacquered plywood seat, organically shaped. The frame features nickel-plated tubular steel legs that are slim and straight.

Please note we have a large amount of these chairs in our collection, which makes this an ideal set for a project. Please note that the chairs differ in condition from very good to signs of wear and use, mainly at the seat. Some chairs are missing some lacquer on the edges.

Measurements of the chairs: 82 x 49 x 49 cm (seat height: 44cm).

Giotto Stoppino for Bernini, 'Maia' dining table, walnut, metal, Italy, 1969

Pedestal dining table by Italian designer Giotto Stoppino for Bernini. The round tabletop shows a warm, honey colored grain of the walnut wood. It is supported by a chromed tubular base that features an organic design. On the bottom the four tubes wide apart to form two semicircles. This base design catches the eye not only because of its extravagant shape but also because it forms a striking contrast with the walnut tabletop.

Measurements of the table: 70.5 x 120cm.

Please note that the items are also available separately.
