Gianfranco Frattini Grand Wall Unit in Rosewood
Gianfranco Frattini for Bernini, wall unit, rosewood, Italy, 1960s
This large 4.8mt/15.7ft wall unit is designed by the Italian designer Gianfranco Frattini. The cabinet consists of six panels with various different storage facilities. There are eight cupboards, two small drawers and many different shelves. The storage compartments differ between drawers and tambour doors. It features the typical design traits of Frattini such as the tambour doors and the drawers with stretched handles. The grain and flames of the rosewood on the piece are another defining element which add a luxurious feel and warmth to the piece. The piece would cover a complete wall and could therefore function as the eye-catcher in an interior.
