Fredrik A. Kayser Rosewood and Leather Armchairs
Fredrik A. Kayser for Vatne Lenestolfabrikk, armchairs model 711, rosewood and white to beige leather, Norway, 1960.
These armchairs are designed by Frederik A. Kayser and executed by Vatne Lenestolfabrikk. The armchairs are executed in rosewood, leather and are detailed with both metal and wooden joints, an interesting detail are the round wooden joints that can be seen at the end of the armrests. The main strength of this chair lies in the use of bent solid rosewood for the armrests, whereas the shape almost suggests that they are made of a soft, fabric like material. And last but not least, these sculptural armchairs are very comfortable.
Please note that the leather has aged and shows severe signs of use. We strongly advise to reupholster these chairs, please ask for more information about the options that our in-house upholstery studio can offer you.
