Frederik Sieck for Fritz Hansen, pair of chairs model 3200, skai, black and white painted wood, metal, Denmark, design 1962, production 1967.
This industrial clear pair of the model 3200 chairs was designed by the Swedish designer Sieck for Fritz Hansen. The round chair has a classic outward curving toprail. The seat itself is round and hangs freely within the thin steel frame. Although the chair might appear light, the chair has a very solid construction, which is expected as Fritz Hansen always delivers high-quality craftsmanship. The play of the black on black and black on white metal is funky and playful.
