Francois Letourneur Pair of Reupholstered Lounge Chairs
Francois Letourneur for Maurice Mourra, pair of lounge chairs, fabric and brass, France, 1950s
Set of two lounge chairs which show a variety of well designed bold lines which provide each chair with an elegant look that reminds of the American streamlined designs. The French armchairs are designed by Francois Letourneur for Maurice Mourra. The large, curved armrests have an appealing opening from the side, which emphasizes the rounded shape of the armrests. The tapered legs are made of brass and are richly patinated.
The chairs are restored and reupholstered by the experienced craftsmen in our in-house atelier. For the reupholstery our design team chose for a warm yellow velvet.
