Francis Jourdain, pair of lounge chairs, pine, rope, France, 1930s
This stunning pair of lounge chairs was designed by Francis Jourdain in France around 1930. The chair show a raked back and the seat is created out of intertwined rope strings. Moreover, the rope strings create an interesting pattern on the seating. Additionally, the frame has a sculptural frame created by the wooden structures. A similar model is represented in the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
