Filippo Panseca for Kartell Table Lamp '4044' in Perspex and Neon
Filippo Panseca for Kartell, table lamp, model '4044', chrome-plated brass, perspex, neon, mirror, Italy, 1968.
Futuristic spherical lamp designed by Italian designer Filippo Panseca for Kartell. Its design is reminiscent to the designs typical for Space Age of the late 1960s. Inside the glass orb, a mirror is placed diagonally which reflects the neon light sideways, creating a stunning indirect partition. The orb is adjustable and therefore the lighting direction can be adapted to one's preference. The chrome-plated round base creates an eccentric combination with the glass orb.
Please note that this item is in good, used condition with signs of age and use. This includes surface scratches, patina on the glass and the perspex contains small fissures. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
