Erik Kirkegaard for Høng Stølefabrik, set of six armchairs, oak, fabric, Denmark, 1960s
This set of dining chairs are sculpturally structured embodying delicate round shapes and sturdy lines. The curved shape can be recognized in both the armrests and the backrest, which contrasts with the sharp, pointed legs. This model is upholstered in a mustard green fabric that beautifully complements with the dark stained oak. This classic set is being a wonderful example of Scandinavian design from the Midcentury period.
