Erik Jørgensen Sofa in Original Cognac Leather

Erik Ole Jørgensen for Erik Jorgensen Møbelfabrik, sofa, model EJ 315-3, wood and leather, Denmark, 1972

Elegant three-seat sofa by Erik Ole Jørgensen. This sofa has a luxurious appearance due to the tufted cognac leather and the high backrest and armrests. The orderly placed leather buttons create a beautiful pattern. The natural leather has beautifully aged and shows a nice patina. A light wooden frame supports the sofa.

Originally trained as an upholsterer, Erik Ole Jørgensen (1925-2002) later pursued a career as a designer. He graduated from the Design School in 1944 and began designing furniture and fabrics, collaborating with Kaare Klint along the way. Jørgensen's dual expertise as an upholsterer and designer enabled him to create functional furniture with exceptionally high-quality upholstery, earning him a place among the most esteemed Danish furniture designers.

Please note that this item is in good, used condition and shows some signs of wear, common for pieces this age. The leather is patinated and shows some irregularities. For further information we kindly ask you to reach out to our design specialists.
