Ennio Luccini for Harvey Guzzini DH, table lamp model ‘Cespuglio’, aluminum, acrylic, Italy, designed in 1968
The innovative ‘Cespuglio’ lamp is one of the most iconic designs of the Italian pop design era in the late 1960s. Ennio Luccini designed this table lamp for Harvey Guzzini DH in 1968. On a small base in polished aluminum rest multiple sheets of jagged acrylic. The organic shapes of the sheets as well as the vivid contours create the association of a plant, hence the name ‘Cespuglio’, meaning ‘bush’. When switched on but also when not in use, this table lamp reminds of a sculpture or piece of art.
