Emiel Veranneman Pair of Rare Lounge Chairs in Cherry and Blue Upholstery
Emiel Veranneman, pair of lounge chairs model 'La chaise', cherry, fabric, Belgium, design 1952
Belgian designer Emiel Veranneman designed this model for the lecture hall of an electricity company in West-Belgium in 1952. The frame in cherry shows a cubic design with strong lines. In the shape of an open trapezoid, the armrest is connected to the leg in front and in the back. Through elegant details like the slightly tapered legs and the openness of the frame, the lounge chairs get a grand appearance. Thick cushions upholstered in blue fabric with a subtle geometric pattern provide great comfort.
Please note that these chairs are in used condition. The lacquer on the wood is in need of renewal and the fabric shows signs of wear and use. Reupholstery and restoring can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
