Edward Wormley for Dunbar, pair of split-arm sofas, wood, velvet upholstery, United States, 1960s Edward Wormley designed this large pair of sofas for Dunbar in the 1960s. Characterized is the design by the outwards inclined armrests which add a certain dynamic to the sofa. They are placed on the same height as the backrest. Loose cushions provide great seating comfort. The yellow velvet upholstery creates a strong contrast with the dark wooden legs. Remarkable is the decorative rise of the legs at the back of the sofa. Please note that we also have a third sofa in stock which has one armrest and can be used to create a corner sofa. Please also note that we do advise re-upholstery before shipping. Our experienced craftsmen are experts in upholstering and restoring design pieces with high attention to retain the pieces their value and authenticity.
