D'urbino De Pas and Lomazzi Lampiatta Table Lamp
Jonathan de Pas, Donato d'Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi for Stilnovo, lampiatta table lamp, Italy, 1971.
It is made from lacquered metal and plastic and the lampshade can be moved to create different illumination effects. Bottom part in black. The lamp has a top which is shaped as if it were a metal painted hat. The light features a heavy, cylinder shaped base. The top and the frame are of chrome-plated metal. The top part can be placed in different positions. This quirky, postmodern lamp is typical for the design and architecture trio Jonathan de Pas (1932-1991), Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi. Their style was mainly drawn from pop and postmodern styles. The lamp creates a homogeneous lighting thanks to the shell shade.
