Don S. Shoemaker for Señal Furniture, set of two armchairs, in cocobolo and black leather, Mexico, 1960s.

This iconic set of four swinger lounge chairs are executed in Cocobolo rosewood and leather. The chairs are accompanied by a coffee and side table. These sling chairs have a characteristic organic shaped bone frame. Interesting shapes are combined with traditional joints like the pegs on the top and bottom. Besides the marvelous design, the structure of the wood is another beautiful addition to these robust chairs. Cocobolo is know for it's expressive and exceptional grain, visible in every detail of these chairs.
