Pendant, pulegoso glass, chrome, Italy, 1970s
This lovely pendant features an extraordinary material called Pulegoso – meaning bubble in Italian – containing numerous air bubbles characterized by lightness and transparence, spread over the entire surface. This effect is achieved by adding bicarbonate of soda, gasoline, or other substances during the heating process. The structured glass pendant is part of the midcentury design collection. Canopy, stern and fixture are made of chrome and show an admirable age-appropriate patina. The globe shaped pendant in a beautiful smoked glass serves as a taste of delicateness in any interior.
