Danish Pair of Lounge Chairs with Rounded Backrests
Pair of lounge chairs, oak and fabric, Denmark, 1960's
These lounge chairs have an open expression and an elegant shape due to its round shapes. The high, rounded backrest is stunning. The armrests have flow loosely in the seat, giving the idea of someone spreading its arms towards another. Another interesting detail is are the wooden 'claws' at the end of the arm rests, to hide je joinery in the fabric and prevent the sitter from soiling the fabric with its hands. The cone shaped legs are slanted in a playful way.
Please note that these chairs consist of their original upholstery and it shows signs of age and use. Therefore, we advise to reupholster this piece. Our in-house studio can offer you almost unlimited options. Please ask for more information about the option our experienced craftsman can offer you.
