Art Deco Set of Six Dining Chairs in Solid Oak

Set of six dining chairs, oak, leather, France, 1940s

A characteristic design; simplistic yet very strong in lines and proportions. The backrest embodies a slightly curved shape with two rectangular shaped gaps. A nice visual aspect of the chair is the rear legs, that run over to the back, made in one single solid piece of oak. The angled position of the rear legs in combination with the curved back give the chair a dynamic appearance. The cognac brown leather seats have a nice patina and beautifully complement the oak.
