Robert Haussman for De Sede, three-seat sofa, leather and steel, Switzerland, design 1954.

This comfortable sofa is designed by Robert Haussmann for De Sede and features a chromed frame that functions as a basket for the cushions. The thick seating cushions provide an excellent standard of comfort. The grey leather forms a striking combination with the clean, steel outer frame.

The Swiss manufacturer De Sede is known for its high quality materials and products. This sofa is another great example of their craftsmanship. The grey leather is in very good condition, and shows a rich patina all-over.

De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their Scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed with the main focus on the people who own them. Therefore, all the DeSede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort.
