Paul McCobb for Directional Designs, lounge chair model 1322, walnut and blue fabric, 1950s.

This pair of lounge chairs is designed by Paul McCobb. The quintessential design features of McCobb's furniture is clearly visible in this set such as the exquisitely tapered legs and the back that features small pointy ends. The seat, back and armrests are upholstered in a blue, soft striped fabric that forms a striking match with the walnut frame. All lines the walnut frame are refined and delicate and form a border for the thick blue upholstery. Great and comfortable set that still holds it original fabric.

Paul McCobb (1917–1969), born in the United States, MA, was a furniture and Industrial designer. He went to the art academy in Boston yet did not finish his education.
