The ‘Elda’ chair is one of the most well-known designs of Italian designer Joe Colombo. This lounge chair is one of the first designs using new material fiberglass in a great amount. Joe Colombo named this design ‘Elda’ in honor of his wife. The white fiberglass shell is fitted around the patinated red leather cushions that support the sitter from all sides. The way the leather is tufted in thick tubes characterizes the ‘Elda’ lounge chair in an unparalleled manner.
