Giusseppe Rivadossi, bookcase, oak, Italy, circa 1970

An exceptional cabinet by the Italian sculptor and designer Giuseppe Rivadossi, featuring a high level of craftsmanship in woodwork. The wood is completely carved with gouge cut, which gives this piece its distinctive aesthetics that Rivadossi in known for. A wonderful detail are the handles, which are carved in the same slab of wood as the doors.
The wall unit is large and offers plenty of storage pace. The upper part features an open shelf compartment. On the left is a compartment with doors with small glass windows. The right side consists of four small compartments with doors and a large compartment with glass sliding doors. An extraordinary piece, established by intensive hand-planed and trimmed finishes.
