Pair of lounge chairs, stained beech and cane, France, 1950s

This beautiful pair of armchairs from French origin feature a rush seat created by using a weaving technique where long, dried grass-like vegetation is used. The construction of these chairs is based on a high back decorated with three horizontal slats and finished with large rounded knobs on the top. The small distance between the seat and the ground and the elongated backrest, underline the essence of the design. The legs are nicely carved that allude to the stylistics traits of the artistic Art Deco movement of the 1930s.

If you wish to receive these chairs with cushion, our in-house atelier can customize these in any kind of fabric or leather you prefer. Please do not hesitate to contact our design experts.
