Marcel Kammerer for Thonet, sofa bench, bentwood and fabric, Austria, ca. 1910

An elegant bentwood settee designed by Marcel Kammerer and manufactured by Thonet, Austria, circa 1910. The sofa is made of dark stained beech wood in a dark tone and upholstered in a classic beige with dark grey patterned fabric. The straight backrest flows over horizontally to the armrests, which curvaceously turn to the front legs.

The bentwood bench shows a wonderful patina. The upholstery shows some signs of age and use, with some fading and small scuffs. Therefore, reupholstery is advised, which can be done by the experienced craftsmen in our in-house atelier.
