Charles Dudouyt Set of Red Leather Oak Dining Chairs
Charles Dudouyt, set of 6 armchairs, leather and oak, France, 1930s
This set of six Art Deco dining chairs is upholstered with deep red leather that has patinated over time. The frame is made of solid oak and features tapered, carved legs. The rounded armrests are horizontal and are connected to each other in the back. The decorative carved stripes in the front of the seat are typical for Dudouyt.
The chairs show signs of age and use, in both the leather and the framework. This will be restored in our in-house atelier. In case you are interested in reupholstery, please ask one of our advisors for information regarding the almost endless possibilities our atelier has to offer.
