Carlo de Carli Sofa with Tubular Frame
Carlo de Carli for Cinova, sofa No. 915, metal and fabric, Italy, 1969.
Elegant, tubular settee designed by Carlo de Carli in 1969 and manufactured by Cinova/Italy. The model features a curved, nickled-plated frame that holds the large, tufted cushions in a beige corduroy upholstery. The piece has beautiful rounded lines, such as rounded legs and the curved armrests. The soft beige corduroy matches beautifully with the nickeled frame.
The beige upholstery is in good condition. Reupholstery is possible as well if you prefer a different color or type of fabric. The experienced craftsmen in our in-house atelier are experts in restoring design furniture.
Carlo de Carli was born in 1910 in Milan and became an important architect and designer in the 1940s and 1950s working with Gio Ponti. He became a keen exponent of Italian furniture bringing it to the international market.
