Carl-Axel Acking, lounge chairs model ‘Trienna’, oak, leather, Sweden, designed in 1957
These characteristic lounge chairs were designed by the Swedish architect and furniture designer Carl-Axel Acking in 1957. The chair’s name 'Trienna' derived from the fact that it was displayed at the 11th Triennale di Milano in 1957. Due to the striking design and great comfort, the ‘Trienna’ turned out to become Acking’s most famous design. A frame in oak with strong lines keeps the leather seat and backrest in place. Brass nails are used to fixate the patinated cognac leather that is tied around the frame in bold lines.
