Carl-Axel Acking Cabinet in Teak with Illuminated Dry Bar

Carl-Axel Acking for Bodafors, cabinet with dry bar, teak, beech, brass, glass, Sweden, 1950s

This sculptural and refined dry bar features the typical characteristics of Scandinavian design in the 1950s. Clear lines and craftsmanship are combined to create a convincing appearance. The cabinet rests on high legs and features one downward opening door with a subtle geometrical pattern. A key accesses the inside. Here, an illuminated dry bar with a glass shelf is flanked by a set of drawers on one side and a small cabinet on the other side.
