Bruno Gecchelin for Busnelli, lounge chair and ottoman, leather, fiberglass, chromed metal, Italy, 1972

This great, rare lounge chair with matching ottoman designed in 1972 by Bruno Gecchelin for Busnelli, comes in its original red leather upholstery. The leather seating is held by a fiberglass shell, which swivels on a chromed steel base. This steel base has a light and dynamic feeling to it which creates a beautiful contrast with the other shapes and materials used for this piece.

Bruno Gecchelin was born in Milan in 1939. In 1962 he developed studies and research on compact gas and refrigerators for Indesit and began designing furnishing elements for Gruppo Industriale Busnelli.
