Bruno Gatta for Stilnovo, chandelier, aluminum, glass, Italy, 1960s

Admirable Italian chandelier by Italian manufacturer Stilnovo and designed by Bruno Gatta. The graceful chandelier consists of six elegant cilindric shaped shades created out of aluminum. Each shade is connected to the other shades by an aluminum rectangular piece. Together it forms a round, octagonal composition. The whole construction is connected by three lines to a round ceiling fixture. The metal with the white glass and the mount add beautiful contrasting colors and textures to this wonderful Italian lamp.

The lamp was designed for the lobby of Hotel Leijen, later called Parkhotel, in Bilthoven, the Netherlands. Unfortunately, in 1989, the hotel was demolished but the lamps remained intact. Probably, Stilnovo produced these lamps on request especially for the hotel, which makes the design even more unique.

Please note that we have more lamps in our current collection.
