Móveis Cimo, sofa, maple and fabric, Brazil, 1950s. Small curved sofa with organic shaped maple base. Eye-catching element is the wooden frame. This organic shaped frame is divided into three parts, with beautiful rounded edges and curves. The slightly curved back and seating appear to float on the frame. Upholstered in off-white/grey fabric. The company Móveis Cimo was founded in 1913 by Willy Jung and Jorge Zipperer in Rio Negrinho. The company ceased to exist in 1982. Designed in the style of Brazilian designer Giuseppe Scapinelli. If admired reupholstery is possible in any kind of leather or fabric of your choice.
