Liceu de Artes e Oficios, rocking chair, darkened wood, leather, Brazil, 1960s.

Beautiful rocking lounge chair in dark walnut with a brown suede upholstery. The frame has the appearance of a wooden skeleton. An open character with beautiful lines and curves. The seating consists of dark brown leather, which 'hangs' in the wooden frame. This easy chair has a very organic character and natural expression.

The architecture and design department of the Sao Paulo school of Arts & Crafts created furniture during the second half of the 20th century. The design department was led by Lucio Costa. This chair is another great example of the talented students.

The chair shows signs of wear and use, but has great pattina.
