Bodil Kjaer for Pederson, sideboard model 911, in rosewood and metal, by Denmark, designed 1959, this example manufactured, 1960s-1970s.

Freestanding sideboard in rosewood by Danish designer Bodil Kjaer. Absolute stunning credenza. This cabinet shows an interesting rhythm of horizontal and vertical lines. The front is divided into four compartments with drawers and doors. The handles are horizontal lines which create a continuous pattern. The back has a similar composition of compartments, yet without the horizontal lines. The chrome legs are a nice modern addition and follow the linear rhythm of the credenza.

Bodil Kjaer is known for her designs in wood with a modern and sleek chrome base. Besides this sideboard she designed several desks, tables and other storage furniture in the same range. She is recognized for her flexible office furniture, designed in the 1960s.
