Biosca Spanish Sideboard in Stained Pine

Biosca, sideboard, stained pine, Spain, 1960s.

Outstanding Spanish sideboard that is executed by Biosca in a beautiful way. The door panels feature a relief surface of graphic carved squares. This is very typical for Brutalist style, while the type of pattern has references to Neoclassicism interiors. This piece belongs to the popular Arts & Crafts movement. The credenza is made of solid pine and offers plenty of storage comprised of shelves and two drawers installed on the outer sides. The sturdy legs provide a floating appearance to the corpus.
