Attributed to Willy Guhl, cabinet, pine, wood fibre board Swiss, 1950s
Cubic wardrobe in a warm colored red. Wood fibre boards are attached to the frame in pine wood. The fibre surfaces are lacquered in a soft red. The combination of the well-chosen color with the natural wood frame results in a wonderful case piece.
This cabinet is attributed to Willy Guhl, a Swiss architect and designer (1915-2004). One of his most famous designs it the ‘Loop’ garden chair (1954) for the company Eternit. The ‘Loop’ chair was made out of a cement-fiber. With the ‘Loop’ chair, Guhl received the ‘Die Gute Form’ price in 1955.
