Art Deco Club Chair in Ocre Velvet and Oak
Lounge chair, oak and ocre velvet, France, 1930s
This unique design features cow horn-shaped armrests, thick cushions and carved, closed, striped sides. The legs consists of two horizontal, flat oak carved pieces of oak. Providing this set with a solid base that contributes to the Art Deco style of this set. The voluptuous upholstery creates a very comfortable seating area due to the thickness of the seat. The chair is robust and powerful.
The ocre velvet is in good condition and matches the stained oak well, the inner work needs replacing however.
