Arnold Madsen for Madsen & Schubell, Easy chair 'MS9' with stool, teak armrests with oak legs, upholstered in the original yellow and black wool, Denmark, 1950s.

This round and comfortable lounge chair is designed by Arnold Madsen for Madsen & Schubell. The highback chair features four thick legs that become smaller towards the top and bottom. The shell of the seat is round with a flat bottom. The signature detail of this chair is without a doubt the wooden armrests that fall within the shell itself. Combined with a matching tripod ottoman, this set provides a comfortable hang-out. The chair is formerly known as the 'Oda' or 'Nursing chair' by Nanna Ditzel, but has been reattributed to the correct designer.

Please note that this is the original fabric, and it shows some signs of age and use. Reupholstery is possible before use. This can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsman in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
