The lounge chair and accompanying ottoman, known as the 'Ari' model, were designed by the esteemed Arne Norell (1917-1971) and manufactured by Möbel AB Arne Norell. The entirety of the piece's frame is composed of chrome-plated steel, while the seat and footrest are expertly upholstered in a channel-stitched, patinated brown leather. This harmonious amalgamation of materials results in a visually striking and timelessly classic design. Notably, the leather's exceptional quality remained in excellent condition. The chair's design was recognized in the early 1970s when it was awarded the prestigious "Showpiece of the Year" honor by British Furniture Manufacturers in 1973.
