Antonio Cassi Ramelli, chest of drawers, walnut, brass, Italy, 1940s.
This Art Deco chest of drawers is designed by the Italian designer Antonio Cassi Ramelli; a contemporary of Paulo Buffa and whom he collaborated with during the early period of his career. Truly striking about this cabinet is the woodwork in walnut and its frame. Note for example the beautifully executed base of which the legs slightly bend inwards. Four drawers with each two brass handles complement this piece of furniture.
