Angelo Mangiarotti for Candle, set of eight ceiling lights model "Spirali", chromed steel spring, Italy, 1974.

Angelo Mangiarotti designed the "Spirali" ceiling light in 1974. A set of eight 'Spirali' in different lengths is rare to find. Adjustable in their hanging, the dynamic lamps can be placed as a group or even single. The light bulb sits high up inside the spiral highlighting the top end when in use. The spirals themselves have two ends where the spirals are tight together and in between they hang wide apart.

Angelo Mangiarotti (1921-2012) was an Italian architect and Industrial designer with a reputation to mainly focus on the needs of the users of furniture. His designs are solid and strong and he always used materials that would stand the test of time. Being schooled as an architect, Mangiarotti was very precise in using the right materials and the right sizing for his designs.

Please note that the height of the short 'Spirali' lamps is 93 cm. The height of the tall 'Spirali' lamps is 185 cm.
