Angelo Mangiarotti Multiuse Cabinet with Sliding Doors
Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova, cabinet/bookcase from the multiuse series, exotic wood, aluminum, Italy, 1960s.
Beautiful bookcase/sideboard of the multiuse series that Mangiarotti designed for Poltronova. Multiuse series stands for versatile pieces of furniture that are adjustable as desired by the user. This cabinet features a composition solely build up from horizontal and vertical lines, that creates an almost Japanese aesthetics. The piece consists of four aluminum shelves that have a floating appearance. Six wooden sliding doors are located between the shelves. These can be moved to any side, creating a wonderful play of composition.
The sliding doors are made of exotic wood, which is a striking combination with the light aluminum. An exquisite piece of furniture that is both aesthetically and in use noteworthy.
