Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova, cabinet/bookcase from the multiuse series, teak, aluminum, Italy, 1960s.
Beautiful bookcase/sideboard of the multiuse series that Mangiarotti designed for Poltronova. Multiuse series stands for versatile pieces of furniture that are adjustable as desired by the user. This cabinet features a composition solely build up from horizontal and vertical lines, that creates an almost Japanese aesthetics. The piece consists of four horizontal aluminum gliders that have a floating appearance. These gliders make it possible to add sliding doors to the cabinet, which are not included but can be custom made. The cabinet itself is executed in teak, which is a striking combination with the light aluminum. An exquisite piece of furniture that is both aesthetically and in use noteworthy.
