Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova, cabinet or bookcase from the Multiuse series, teak, aluminum, Italy, 1965.
This bookcase is part of the Multiuse series that Mangiarotti designed for Poltronova. This line stands for versatile pieces of furniture that are adjustable as desired by the user. This cabinet has a composition made up exclusively of horizontal and vertical lines, creating an almost Japanese aesthetic. The piece consists of four horizontal aluminum glides that establish a floating effect. These gliders make it possible to add sliding doors to the cabinet, which are not included but can be custom-made. The cabinet itself is executed in teak, which is a striking combination with the light aluminum. A beautiful piece of furniture that is remarkable both aesthetically and in use.
